Most dealership groups still run their front line the way they did in 2005: a switchboard, a handful of BDC staff, and a lot of demand that quietly disappears outside office hours. Calls roll to voicemail. WhatsApp messages sit unread overnight. A customer texts about a car at 9pm and hears back, if they hear back, the next afternoon, by which point they’ve called someone else.
Capture is our answer to that: AI voice and messaging agents that pick up every inbound conversation: phone, WhatsApp, SMS, email, and web chat. 24/7, and hand the human team a qualified, summarized lead instead of a missed call.
Key features
Real phone conversations, not IVR trees. The AI agent answers the call, understands open-ended questions, looks up live inventory mid-call (”we’ve got five 2024 Fiestas in stock, three of them in red”), catches and corrects things like an invalid appointment date, and reads back a phone number to confirm it before hanging up. Set it up within a turnaround time of a few hours!
Named personas per role, not one generic bot voice. We can have Maisie handle sales enquiries, Jenny handles service, Albert handles parts: each with a distinct voice and greeting, so the experience matches what a customer would expect from that department.
Automatic cross-channel handoff. A call ends with a WhatsApp follow-up sent automatically. No one on the team has to remember to text the customer the details they just discussed.
Structured call summaries, not just a recording. Every call produces a summary with customer interest, budget range, and if one was booked: the appointment time, location, and which salesperson was notified.
After-hours and overflow coverage across WhatsApp, SMS, email, and web, so the parts of the day when dealerships historically lose the most demand are now covered by default instead of by exception.
Admin control without engineering, via the Capture settings page: dealership staff can create and edit assistants, manage which knowledge base each one draws from, preview voices, and set per-assistant email notifications: no ticket to us required.
Vehicle-search-by-text, as an add-on: assistants can text a customer a link to matching stock instead of trying to describe five cars over voice or SMS.
AI-initiated outbound calling (experimental, opt-in): staff can queue a callback with instructions for the AI to place, with a human approving each call before it goes out. Off by default.
